When I arrived in Estonia, I first lived in the city of Tartu. This is my initial apartment building, on Ravila street. Upon entering the apartment, I realized that my living conditions were going to be somewhat different from what I was used to in the United States.

This is a small valley in the middle of town which is rumored to have been a salt mine at one point. In its current state it makes a great park. We would often go there to play frisbee and to do other recreational things.

On one occasion, I was able to go out to the country home of a family I knew. They lived near Peipsi Järv and had vast fields of onions.

This is a church that stood across the street from the Engineers' Building. Standing in the street is Edgar, an artistic friend of mine from the family I mentioned above.

One morning we took a trip outside the city. We traveled by train to Taevaskoda, a very beautiful place.
I really enjoyed the train ride itself, as well as our destination.

We visited different areas in Taevaskoda, including a plateau surrounded by a winding river, on which we played a soccer game. The opposite bank was a cliffside.
