For Christmas, I went with my friend Andres to stay the night at his grandmother's house out in the country. What made it even better was that we took an old train to get there.

We drove around to see some old mansions, and then to attend a small Lutheran Christmas church service. The church had no heating, and by the end of the meeting we were very cold.

This is one of the mansions we stopped to see. We didn't stop for very long, though, because it was extremely cold outside.

Here is a picture without snow in it. Not because it wasn't snowing, but because I aimed the camera at a wall.

This is a street in an old part of town. There are several places in Tallinn where you can stand on a wall and look down on a wide area. This is not one of them, but seeing it just reminded me of that.

I think everything looks nice when it is covered with snow.

Another snow picture. The towers on the large church in the background were always being painted, and were never uniform in color while I was there.

A cement ramp leading down into this stadium was coated with a thick layer of ice. We slid down it on pieces of a cardboard box and I went down together with someone else on a car door we found. That was the first and only time I have ever gone sledding.
