When and how did you discover Game Maker?
Some time in 2001 I was just browsing Game Hippo and found it.
What games or other projects have you made with (or for) Game Maker?
The only game I've ever finished was the first game I ever made with game maker which was a remake of the classic snakes game. Now I mostly do examples and math related things which are totally useless but which I think are neat.
Where can they be downloaded?
What are your favorite Game Maker games?
I especially liked "Ore No Ryomi" by Mr. Chubigans.
What are your favorite games NOT made with Game Maker?
Simcity 4 and Urban Terror (a mod of Quake 3)
What advice would you give new Game Maker users or those who would like to improve?
Read the manual. That's all I ever had to do. I didn't visit the forums until 2 years after I got GM so I didn't get any help from anyone.
What elements of a game are most important to you and why?
Fun. If it's fun enough I'll play it regardless of how crummy the graphics are. Sound is a big factor, though. If the sound is terrible I don't like playing it.
Why do you make games? What is your primary inspiration, motivation, or both?
Well, I just think it's fun. It allows me to do stuff I normally wouldn't be able to. Like draw a fractal or perform millions of tedious calculations
Do you have other artistic pursuits other than game development? If so, what?
Uhh, no, I don't do much else.
