When and how did you discover Game Maker?
August of 2003
Have you used any other game creation programs?
I used one called 'Adventure Maker' that was primarily for making point & click adventures. I created a virtual art gallery for my wife to use as an interactive portfolio of her artwork. Unfortunately, it wouldn't include a needed file with the .exe and so nobody could open the thing. I haven't used the program since.
What games or other projects have you made with (or for) Game Maker?
A King's Field fan game was my first GM game, which I do not have available for download anymore.
HYPERCUBE is a puzzle-arcade game where you must navigate your way through a series of rooms, collecting items and avoiding traps. What makes this game unique is having to control 2 characters simotaneously.
GOTHOUT! Is a breakout clone with a halloween theme.
PRIMARY is a platform game with color-related puzzle elements.
PRIMARY TILES takes the same color puzzles and adds shapes into the mix. This is not a platformer like its predecessor, but rather a cross between Mahjong and Pac-man.

KING'S FIELD series

What advice would you give new Game Maker users or those who would like to improve?
Take the time to make everything yourself. Both you and your players will appreciate it more.
What elements of a game are most important to you and why?
The gameplay. Why? Because it's a GAME. If we were talking about a screensaver then obviously graphics would be more important, but in a game, the gameplay has to be the highest priority.
Why do you make games? What is your primary inspiration, motivation, or both?
I just have a highly creative spirit. When I'm not making games, I'm making music or something else. I also love the fact that my son enjoys playing the games that I make.
Do you have other artistic pursuits other than game development? If so, what?
My music is called AUREATE. You can find more info about it on the site listed at the top of this questionare.
Any other comments?
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this.
