ZZT creator profile:
Greg Janson

when and how did you first get into ZZT?
I don't know for sure- around '92 or '93 I'd estimate, but nothing is certain. I was introduced to it when I downloaded it at 2400 baud from Software Creations BBS long distance :-) I never even knew there was a big following until I found the ZZT Club Part Two on Prodigy a while later.

how many ZZT games have you created? what are they?
Mission: Enigma, Code Red, The Three Trials, Cannibal Isle, Dungeons ][, Robots of Gemrule, ZapAttack + Caverns, The Underground Bugtown.

what things do you consider most important in a ZZT game?
Use of S-T-K and creative puzzles, and making good use of space- no large empty rooms :-)

what tips, if any, would you give aspiring ZZT programmers?
Play around with all the commands and make sure you can do cool things with Objects.. then use them :-) Objects are what make a ZZT game- they should MAKE the game, not just spice it up.

what are your favorite ZZT games?
Favorites? ZapZak by Tim Gallagher... um... TIARA.ZZT by someone, I forget... and I liked Sivion, WTemple, etc. too of course but I don't like to list those for reasons of modesty ^_^
