when and how did you first get into ZZT?
Umm.... about this time last year, I think. About a year ago. I read one of the Ads in another Epic game, and so when I saw the file I downloaded it. I didn't think much of TOWN, but luckily I downloaded Code Red as well. I had a fiddle around, and I eventually got the hang of it all.
how many games have you created? what are they?
The grand total of 2!! But I'm working on a game called Cheesy, which is set in the same world as Yindle. My games are: "Yindle" and "CJ's Wuzzles".
what things do you consider most important in a ZZT game?
A DECENT PLOT!! Humour, or intrigue. (eg. Mission: Enigma, or Stinky the Sock Muching Ocelot.) Good spelling, no syndromes. Proffensional looking. A reasonable length.
what tips, if any, would you give aspiring ZZT programmers?
Learn from others. Give it to a few people to test before releasing. Get a rough plan going, so it doesn't have a crummy ending. Neaten it up. And, most importantly, have fun!
what are your favorite ZZT games?
Yapok, Stinky the Sock Munching Ocelot, Sivion, Code Red, Mission: Enigma, Nightmare, Turmoil, No Point, Yindle. (Not CJWuzzle, it was too beginner-ish.)
